Web HelixInfoSystems
HelixInfoSystems  celebrates its 5 th Anniversary by offering opportunities to the aspirants to be a part of its Innovative & Job-oriented Real Time Projects launched this summer.
Research
Research is to see what everybody else has seen,
and to think what nobody else has thought"
HelixInfoSystems has a strong and efficient pool of individuals who are engaged in various research activities. Our key areas of research encompasses,
Identification of Novel drug targets – In Silico methods
The deciphering of microbial genome has provided researchers new insights towards rational identification of Novel Drug Targets, with the data generated as a result of the genome projects worldwide and with available Bioinformatics Tools. This search have increased in the last two decades, due to the remarkable rise of antibiotic resistance among key pathogenic forms.
Database of Drug target
The database contains potential drug targets identified from key pathogenic organisms like Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium leprae, Streptococcus spp, Haemophilus influenzae, Salmonella spp, Plasmodium spp, E.coli, C.diptheriae etc., using Bionformatics tools. This will serve as a base for the pharmaceutical industry to develop novel drugs.
Modeling of unique Proteins identified from key pathogenic organisms
Prediction of three-dimensional structures for a unique protein sequence identified from various pathogenic organisms based on the template proteins whose structure is solved by either X-ray or NMR. The tertiary structure of a protein family is much more highly conserved than sequence. Therefore the 3D structure of a protein can provide valuable information as to its function and mechanism.
Development of Novel Algorithms in Molecular Biology
Developing new algorithm for various Genomics application like Gene prediction in eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms, pattern recognition, repeat sequence prediction, promoter prediction, restriction site prediction, Ribosome binding site prediction ORF finder, translation, primer show, multiple sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree construction and a homology search tool.
