Supporting Software & Tools of Bioinformatics

As a part of Helix pursuit to be technologically in synch with the times, the projects are guided by using commercial software like AutoDock Linux platform. In Autodock, the docking analysis are performed for biomolecules, the Amber is used to do molecular dynamics simulation for large and small molecules and VLife MDS 3.5 is a complete package of homology modeling, QSAR analysis, pharmacophore designing, molecular docking and to generate combinatorial library.
To add value to the dynamics area the Gromacs and to develop lead molecules Ligbuilder software are guided to the learners.

Infrastructure facilities:

Helix has scenic landscaping around with an excellent infrastructure of 1200 sq.ft. and located at a heart of the city of Chennai where the distance would be covered within 5 to 10 minutes by bus route and railway station from Nungambakkam and Loyola College. The institute has state of art Bioinformatics lab with more than 20 computers with advanced configurations, LAN and internet services through wireless connectivity, LCD projection systems, hardware and software, printers, scanners, etc.
